Southern Peaks

Event Information

Southern Peaks 50KM | 37KM & NEW 17KM

Southern Peaks is a cross country MTB race over either 50KM, 37KM & 17KM.

This year the 37KM & 50KM course will start once again at the stunning Maitraya Private Resort travelling over some of the most stunningly beautiful coastline the region has to offer. Maitraya Private Resort is normally closed to the public so, this is the only time you can ride around this beautiful pristine estate.

Thanks to the Dept of Parks and Wildlife the route will then travel through more breathtaking coastal scenery to the highly anticipated Emu Point channel crossing where riders ill be ferried across in no time with the additional second barge aswell as added facilities at the aid station to recharge and wash before commencing their ride and times! Emu Point will also be the starting point for our 17KM riders. The route will then travel through a variety of sneaky single track, gruelling climbs and the ‘hidden’ highlights of central Albany where the 17KM & 37KM riders will finish in the Albany Town Square Event Village.

50KM riders will continue from the Albany Town Square Event Village delivering even more challenging climbs, steep descents and all round amazing views from the top of Mt Melville. Riders will finish back at the Albany Town Square Event Village for celebrations and well-deserved beverage!
