Southern MTB in partnership with the WA Marathon Club are pleased to welcome you to the inaugural Southern Trail Run at the Southern MTB festival. Western Australia has some of the most pristine coastline and trails in the world and we encourage everyone to enjoy a healthy outdoor and active lifestyle.
The Southern Trail run is a 17km run from Emu Point to Albany Town Square on York Street. The course follows the same route as the Southern Peaks Mountain bike event. Traveling from Emu Point along Middleton Beach, around the boardwalk and up around Mount Adelaide and then up and around the trails on Mount Clarence. The
There will be a maximum cut off time for all runners to reach the aid station on Mount Adelaide by 12.30pm and Town Square finish by 2pm.
Registration will be available online until 5pm Wednesday 19th September. Minimum age is 12 years.
All competitors under 16 years will require parental/ guardian consent to compete in the event. This can either be completed online prior to the event or signed upon bib collection.
On the Day:
Registration on the day will be available from 9am at Emu Point. All on the day registrations will incur a $5 per runner on the day charge. On the day registrations may be limited so where possible please register online by Wednesday 19th September.
All registered runners will receive a race bib with their assigned competition number. Runners will be able to collect their bibs at the following times and dates:
Friday 21st September – Town Square Albany – 4pm – 8pm
Saturday 22nd September – Emu Point – 9am – 10:15am
17km solo and team runners will start at 11am at Emu Point in Front of Emu Point Cafe
